Problems with new passwords

I have heard second-hand information that people are having trouble when changing their MyID passwords, as required by the new regulations.
Can anyone confirm these problems?
The rumor I have heard is that someone goes in and changes their password, and suddenly their new and old passwords don’t work.
Also, the Red and Black reported on the new [...]

R&B Editor on Plus/Minus Grading

The new Editor in Chief of the Red and Black, Lauren Morgan, had an excellent editorial in yesterday’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The editorial is about her personal experience with the new plus/minus grading system. She also addresses who the system penalizes, and why it was put into place:
When the administration chose to adopt the [...]

We Want Our $$$ Back

The University recently admitted to students that construction on Tate 2 would be delayed, but students had to read closely to find the news. An email was sent out over the Parking Services listserv about parking at N11 (the Tate Center Lot). Here are the important pieces:
Recently, we sent out an email informing [...]

R&B Editorial

Josh Weiss wrote an interesting response today to SGA President Jamie Peper’s (and VP Suber’s) editorial yesterday. Check it out if you haven’t already.
A few good points:
The Student Government Association’s relationship with President Adams is a clear benchmark of how much power SGA actually has.
Another good point from Weiss:
SGA should credit its few victories [...]

Critical of the Golden Ticket Party

I received this critique of the current administration recently, and the author has released me to post it. The author wishes to remain anonymous, probably because he/she doesn’t want to hear people talk about his/her head.
PS- You too can see the Golden Ticket platform here.
Remember the Golden Ticket? Remember what they said they’d get [...]

Overheard in Athens: SGA-style

Here
In case you don’t know about it, Overheard in Athens is a great site. People post the random (and usually stupid) things they hear around town. Some one recently entered this comment:
GDI guy 1: Do you have some croakies I can wear to the SGA meeting on Tuesday?
GDI guy 2: No, why?
GDI guy [...]

Excellent Cartoon

This excellent cartoon was published today in the Red and Black.  Thanks to Josh Weiss for allowing us to reprint it.  We appreciate the Red and Black finally mentioning the site (while it did last Friday, there was no mention of the site name).  When will they actually write an article about Hatin’ SGA?

SGA – Take Some Advice

Since all of the SGAers have been whining about the fact that the editors of this website are staying anonymous and poking holes at SGA, we thought we’d pass along some advice. This comes from the Washington Post Editor Len Downie:
And the blogs that pick apart every article that the [Washington] Post produces are [...]

Funny SGA Cartoon

Thanks to the Red and Black, they printed a wonderful cartoon earlier in the week.

More Remarks on Drop/Add

The Red and Black has a nice editorial today about extending drop/add.  This goes back to our previous post about how SGA failed students by not stopping the drop/add changes.
If only SGA had stood up and complained when the University Council first started to shorten drop/add (over a year ago), we wouldn’t be in a [...]
