SGA Puts Up Crap Version of Key

SGA recently put online a horrible version of The Key:
The 2006-2007 Key is now online!
To access grade distribution information click on the resources for students icon. This year, courses have been categorized alphabetically by the first letter of the course.
SGA’s venerable webmaster (Wonder if this took him the 6 hours he claimed?) put online 8 [...]

The Key in the R&B

Two weeks ago, Josh Weiss lashed out at the SGA for failing to update The Key, the grade record previously kept up-to-date by the University. Here’s the backstory:
However, for all intensive purposes, The Key is dead.
After Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness Bob Boehmer crippled the online database of grade distributions in spring 2006 by [...]

End of The Ruddle Report

Paul Ruddle, student and editor of The Ruddle Report, has announced that he will stop updating the Ruddle Report (except in the case of breaking news).
It is truly sad to see Paul go, but he accomplished a lot while he posted at RR. Good luck with your new job, Paul.
In the mean time, check [...]

Where to find The Key

Last year the University of Georgia administration took down The Key, a grade reporting website. The Student Government Association was charged with putting The Key online, and they have failed.
As such, the editor of the Ruddle Report, Paul Ruddle, has made available an Excel file with the 1999 through 2006 Key data.
If you would [...]

Changes around the site and updates

Hatin’ SGA was down a little while earlier while I changed a couple of things around.
You probably noticed the new look. I’m not terribly fond of it, but it is easy, clean, and it loads fast (the last theme took forever to load). If anything happens to be broken, please let me know [...]

SGA Lack-Of Report

The newest version of the SGA Report was just sent out to all UGA students and is available here.
I find it funny that the report was sent to students today, yet it lists events and deadlines from last week and earlier:
Applications are now available for the student member of the UGA Athletic Association Board of [...]

Student Reps Absent

Students were not represented at the recent meeting of the University Curriculum Committee (April 2, 2007). SGA Vice President Ali Gibbons and GSA President Lindsey Scott were both absent and did not have substitutes (which are allowed).
To compare, of the 17 other members on the Committee (all professors), only one was absent without a [...]

PHP/MySQL help needed

If there is anyone with PHP/MySQL experience out there that would like to work on a new project with myself, hit me up. I need some help coding, and you will be paid. Thanks!

Oasis should be 24/7

So I’m not the only one that thinks OASIS should be open 24/7.

Student’s Thoughts in R&B

Sophomore Chris Chiego wrote an excellent editorial for today’s Red and Black.
He offers three main suggestions for the new SGA administration:

Save the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA)
Protect free expression on campus.
Make sure that UGA fully funds need-based financial aid.

In regards to Chiego’s second point, he talks about UGA’s “yellow light” rating by the [...]
