So, this semester’s edition of Open Mic with Mike is coming up next week (courtesy of the Facebook event here).
Open Mic with Mike is going to be next Friday at 3:30pm. That’s right, on a Friday afternoon.
If you wanted to actually get students to attend and have them actually “spend an hour or two with the Prez”, you probably wouldn’t plan your event for a Friday afternoon.
Another oddity: Open Mic with Mike is a Facebook event, but it is not yet on the UGA Master Calendar (see for yourself). In case you are wondering, Matt Winston, Mike Adams’ personal assistant, set up the event on Facebook.
