Problems with new passwords

Must change you MyIDI have heard second-hand information that people are having trouble when changing their MyID passwords, as required by the new regulations.

Can anyone confirm these problems?

The rumor I have heard is that someone goes in and changes their password, and suddenly their new and old passwords don’t work.

Also, the Red and Black reported on the new password requirements today.

I do have to say that I actually like your site now that you have begun stating facts instead of crying about problems with the Student Government Association. I personally could care less about SGA; therefore, the fact that you have a determination to slander them is beyond me. In a response to your latest post, everyone I have talked to is having difficulty with the new system. Apparently there are still a few bugs to work out. You should inform the Student Government about this issue. Instead of fighting a battle you can’t win, you might want to be part of the solution so that all students can benefit from your hard work. Hope this helps.

    Earl,

Thanks a lot for the feedback. On another note, can you point out anywhere SGA members have been slandered on this site? Slander is actual the spoken form of defamation, so if there is any on this site, it would be considered libel. And to quote wikipedia:

The [Supreme Court] held that where a public official was defamed, the plaintiff had to prove not just that an untruthful statement was made, but also that it was made with “actual malice” – that is, with knowledge of falsity or with reckless disregard for the truth. The “actual malice” standard was subsequently extended to public figures in general, and even to private figure plaintiffs seeking punitive or presumptive damages.
